About the Doctors

Carl Dann IV, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Carl Dann graduated high school from South Kent School in Connecticut. He further earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Psychology at the University of Alabama. He later earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Dann then completed a two-year research fellowship (Edgar Barker Fellow) at the University of North Carolina. He further pursued a three-year Master of Science Degree (MS) in Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina.

Accomplishments:

Dr. Dann was co-author in five published papers concerning orthodontics for children and adults. He also published a Master’s Thesis entitled "The Relationship Between Self-Concept, Class II Malocclusion and Early Orthodontic Treatment." As a dental student, he received the Senior Award for Excellence in Orthodontics. At the University of Alabama, he was a National Cheerleading Champion.

Dr. "Jr." is a native to the Orlando area, along with his two brothers and three sisters and resides in College Park. He enjoys weight training, swimming and exercising. He loves to travel with family and friends. For relaxation, Dr. "Jr." enjoys working in his yard and garden.

Dr. "Jr." is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, Dental Society of Greater Orlando, Tampa Bay Orthodontic Study Club and the Central Florida Orthodontic Study Club. In addition, he serves as Vice President and Founder of the Mid-Florida Study Club, part-time faculty for the University of Florida College of Dentistry as well as a volunteer for the Dental Research Clinic.

Dr. Dann is a member of several prominent organizations and study clubs that keep our state-of-the-art practice on top of the latest techniques and technology.

Carl Dann III, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Carl Dann III (Practice Consultant), Dr." Sr." graduated from the Choate School in Connecticut with honor of Cum Laude. He further pursued a Bachelor of Dentistry with honors, a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and a Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Dr. Dann's clinical expertise and continued pursuit of higher education has allowed him to complete over 10,000 successful orthodontic cases.

Dr. "Sr." was born in Orlando, as were his parents and grandparents. He is married, has six children and resides in College Park.

He has a profound interest in dental literature and research, which has enabled him to stay on the cutting edge of his profession.

A keen interest in history has lead Dr." Sr." to travel to many interesting places in the world. He loves preparing meals for his family and friends, sharing the flavors of exotic cultures he has experienced. He also enjoys tending his garden and pursuing his hobbies as a sportsman.

Dr. "Sr." is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.

After 40 distinguished years as a leader in the central Florida orthodontic community, we are honored to have Dr. "Sr." serve as a consultant for our practice while also enjoying the retirement he so richly deserves.
