Unlike traditional braces or clear braces, lingual braces are unique because brackets are bonded to the lingual side (tongue side) of your teeth, meaning the side of your teeth facing the back. As such, the brackets and accompanying wires of lingual braces do not interfere with your smile. You can get your teeth straightened while maintaining the grin you’re used to in the meantime.
