All About Your First Visit in Orlando FL

Before visiting our office, we ask that you print and complete the patient forms that we provide. Filling out these forms beforehand will help move the process along more smoothly on the day of your appointment.

During your initial visit to Dann Orthodontics, you will be given a preliminary clinical exam and diagnosis. This may include complementary diagnostic records, such as digital photographs and radiographs. Dr. Dann will also use computer simulation and case examples to better diagnose your oral condition and construct your orthodontic treatment plan. At this time, all of your questions will be answered. For example:

• What type of braces would be appropriate for me?
• What are my orthodontic treatment financial options?
• Is Invisalign right for my smile?
• How long is my expected treatment time?

Diagnostic Records

Diagnostic records such as digital scans for study models, facial/oral photographs, and radiographs allow Dr. Dann to better understand what issues need to be corrected, thus fine-tuning your diagnosis and orthodontic treatment planning. If current records are insufficient, during your first visit a follow-up appointment to compile more comprehensive diagnostic records will be scheduled.

Consultation Appointment

At your consultation (often done during your first visit), your orthodontist will show you the specific orthodontic problems identified in your diagnostic records and present a detailed treatment plan for how to best address them. You and your orthodontist will also discuss your projected orthodontic treatment time, patient responsibilities, and financial arrangements. We welcome patients with dental insurance, and we will make every effort to see that you receive your maximum benefits upon starting orthodontic treatment with us.
