Carl Dann, IV, D.D.S., M.S.

Dann Orthodontics first opened its doors in 1965 with my dad, Carl Dann, III, which is where my interest in orthodontics began and where my career started after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994.

My experience as a National Champions cheerleader at the University of Alabama (where I did my undergraduate work) taught me the importance of teamwork, enthusiasm, and having a positive attitude in life, which my staff and I strive to bring to our Orlando and Winter Park practice every day.

Outside the office, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, working in my yard and garden, and keeping fit by going to the gym. From the start of orthodontic treatment to the day you bring your new smile home, you’ll love being a part of our family as much as we enjoy bringing you the smile of your dreams. We look forward to welcoming you to our family!

Dr. Dann’s Accomplishments & Accolades:
As a dental student, Dr. Dann received the Senior Award for Excellence in Orthodontics. Dr. Dann has also been awarded the Edgar Baker Research Fellowship at the University of North Carolina. Furthermore, Dr. Dann has co-authored five published research papers concerning orthodontics for children and adults. He also published a Master’s Thesis entitled "The Relationship Between Self-Concept, Class II Malocclusion and Early Orthodontic Treatment."

Dr. Dann is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, Dental Society of Greater Orlando, Tampa Bay Orthodontic Study Club, and Central Florida Orthodontic Study Club. In addition, he is the Vice President and Founder of the Mid-Florida Study Club, serves as a part-time faculty member for the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and is a volunteer for the Dental Research Clinic.

More about Dr. Dann:
Dr. Dann is a native to the Orlando area and has two brothers and three sisters. Every year in order to continuously update his experience with the latest orthodontic treatment and tech. advancements, Dr. Dann attends the Florida Orthodontic meeting, the Southern Association of Orthodontist meeting, and the American Association of Orthodontist annual meeting. To date, Dr. Dann has received over 200 hours of biannual continuing advanced education.

Insurance Coordinator

Chris

Chris has been in the dental field since 1974, and has been Dr. Dann's insurance coordinator since 1992. She enjoys the camaraderie that is shared with her fellow "teammates," as well as the lively pace of the busy practice that is filled with super patients, that complete our orthodontic family. Chris loves the mountains, hiking, reading history, ice cream, laughing, friends and most of all, her two redheaded children.

Joann

Joann has been in orthodontics for many years and joined our practice in 2001. Joann is excellent at welcoming our new patient to our practice and makes their experience exceptional. She is extremely knowledgeable about the benefits of treatment and the orthodontic options that are available to our patients. Joann loves what she does; changing not only smiles but also lives.

Treatment Coordinator

Yvette

Yvette is a native of New Jersey. She have been living in Orlando since 1989. She had the pleasure to join the office of Dr. Dann and staff in May of 2005, however she has been in the dental field since 1996. Yvette enjoys making our patients feel welcome and is committed to providing outstanding orthodontic results.

April

April joined the Dr. Dann team in 2018. She was born and raised her in Central Florida. Started her orthodontics journey in 2008 and loves changing lives one smile at a time ever since. April is married and has three fur babies, Shaggy, Sasha and Slater. They are her pride and joy. She loves spending time with her dogs, hanging out with friends, family, going to music festivals and anything by or near the water!

Orthodontic Assistant

Jonnita

Jonnita is a native Floridian and went to school in Florida from grade school through college. She pursued orthodontics out of a love for dentistry. She became board certified in orthodontics in 1999. She has been working in orthodontics for us since 1998.

Rody

Rody is from Taiwan. She has two daughters. Rody likes to travel and play sports, like tennis and golf. She has been working in the dental field since 2004 and joined our practice in 2005. Rody believes working with Dr. Dann and his fantastic staff is a great opportunity. She loves to watch patients from the day they start until the day they finish treatment, with a great big smile.
